Glen Keane - 2012 Dallas Film Society Honors
In which Glen Keane talks about what he wants do know that he’s left Disney.
Just a red-headed, small-town-living, Monty-Python-loving, Star-Trekking, brain-exploding, Disney-glorifying, awkwardly-socializing, snow-frolicking, shiny-things-admiring, tea-guzzling, demon-hunting, self-embarrassing, doodle-making, hair-fetishing, gold-digging-nah-just-kidding, space-and-time-traveling, detective-consulting, college-starving, internet-lurking, kilt-ogling, candy-eating, all-around-creeper.

“Tarzan” (1999)
Rough animation composite of the scene where Tarzan and Jane first meet.
“The Little Mermaid” (1989)
This is kind of exciting, here we have the full “Part of Your World” scene. It’s probably my favorite song sequence from any animated film. I had only ever seen small chunks of rough animation from it before now.
This is a very rough copy, and hard to see in spots. But there are also some very nice looking shots, so watch the whole thing.
As of March 23, 2012, Disney Legend Glen Keane has left the Walt Disney animation studios. Glen served as a mentor to several Disney artists and a hero to those aspiring to work for the company. This post is in honor of his outstanding work in animation, his ability to breathe life into that which was once without and his dedication to the Walt Disney company.
Go forth and conquer, Glen. Or y’know, kick back and take a break. Do whatever the fuck you wanna do because you earned it.
Thank you, Glen! Thank you for being an inspiration!
